Day 2 covers materials and equipment in full — including the selection criteria for materials used in low-temperature cryogenic service, the types and configurations of cryogenic pumps, valves, and piping systems, and the common failure mechanisms that occur in cryogenic environments including thermal contraction effects, mechanical stress, and embrittlement. Delegates develop the technical understanding to evaluate material and equipment choices and to identify and manage the failure risks specific to cryogenic operations.  

LNG bunkering systems and mobile transport are addressed within Day 4 — covering the operational principles of LNG as a marine fuel, bunkering system configurations, safety requirements, and the regulatory framework governing LNG bunkering operations. A general background in process, chemical, or marine engineering is helpful. The course begins with cryogenic fundamentals, LNG properties, and phase behaviour before advancing to equipment design, storage systems, ship operations, and safety management making it accessible to delegates with solid engineering knowledge who are ready to develop their LNG and cryogenic capability in a structured, technically rigorous environment.  

Boil-off gas handling is addressed within Day 3 — covering the thermodynamic causes of boil-off, the insulation systems used to minimise it, and the handling and recovery strategies applied to manage boil-off gas safely and efficiently.
